This is according to a Port Harcourt based marriage counsellor, Elizabeth Iorapuu-Amande who told Today Fm’s Stella Saasongu that addiction to social media and online connections can make couples distant, hurt or insecure in their marriages.
Iorapuu-Amande also noted that higher levels of social media usage have led to more marital problems, infidelity, conflict, jealousy and eventually divorce.
She said celebrities are under constant watch by fans who follow and often comment unfavourably on the state of their relationships.
