Ikwerre LGA Chairman Vows Zero Tolerance for Land Grabbing

The Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government, Charles Wobodo, has reiterated his administration’s zero-tolerance policy on land grabbing in the council area.

Wobodo made the statement when members of the Okwe family from Omukenke–Omuike community in Aluu brought suspected land grabbers to the Ikwerre Local Government Council Secretariat.

He assured residents that the local government would not stand by while people suffered from illegal land activities. Wobodo also distanced himself from any involvement in land grabbing and warned outsiders attempting to seize land in Ikwerre to stay away.

The council chairman reaffirmed the commitment of his administration to protecting the rights and properties of local residents.
