IGP Adamu approves the building of police station in Zaakpon community of Rivers state

 

This follows request by the people of Zaakpon due to violence attacks that sacked several inhabitants and destruction of properties in the area.

 

 

 

The Divisional Police Officer of Bori Division, BAKO ANGBAHIM who spoke during the groundbreaking ceremony of the station said the station is part of efforts of the Nigerian police in collaboration with Zaakpon stakeholders to sustain security and peace.

 

 

 

ANGBAHIM said when he resumed as Bori DPO, the route to Zaakpon was like dead trap to residents where cultists and other criminal elements ambushed people, kill and kidnap at will on daily basis which he said was foght to stand steal with the help of some stakeholders.

 

 

 

An indigene of the community, Chief GANI TOPBA who spoke on behalf of the people, described the station as a welcome development, assuring that the people are committed to the project which he said will help restore security of lives and properties of the Zaakpon and Babae Kingdom at large.

 

 

 

 

 

Correspondent UCHENDU EJIOWHOR reports that the Zaakpon police Division will be the second division in the whole traditional headquarters of Ogoni land, Bori Town and Khana Local Government Area at large.
