IDP gives damning report about the condition of displaced persons in North-East Nigeria.

The group further warned that a catastrophic humanitarian emergency was unfolding at a camp it visited where some twenty-four thousand people have taken refuge.

The report said many of the displaced inhabitants are traumatised and one in five children is suffering from acute malnutrition.

It quoted inhabitants as saying about thirty people die every day due to hunger or illness.

GHADA HATIM, who is MSF Head of Mission in Nigeria said one of its teams reached Bama on Tuesday with the help of a military convoy from the city of Maiduguri in Borno state.
