ICPC says it recovered and restrained cash and assets valued at N166B from corrupt persons

 According to the spokesperson of the commission, Azuka Ogugua, this represents an increase of three hundred seventy eight percent over the assets recovery target of forty four billion naira under the Commission’s Strategic Plan 2019 to 2023.

The achievement was contained in the Commission’s Mid-Term Performance Report 2019 -June 2021 presented at the ICPC Board and Management retreat held in Abuja.

According to the Report, assets worth eighty point two three billion naira were seized and recovered in 2019; eighty two point five seven billion in 2020 and two point seven one billion naira between January and June 2021.

The recovered assets include houses, vehicles, electronics, jewelry, clothing and accessories, plots of land, and farms.
