Ibaa traditional ruler arraigned for fraud.

Chief EJIKEME NYENKE is accused of diversion of one million naira meant for the construction of a borehole for Omuika village in Ibaa community.

 

Chief NYENKE was arraigned before the Port Harcourt Magistrate Court on two counts of conspiracy and fraud, but he pleaded not guilty.

 

According to the charge sheet sighted by our correspondent, the Ibaa chief is alleged to have conducted himself in a manner that is likely to cause crisis in Ibaa community.

 

 

But based on an oral application by his lawyer, Chief NYENKE was granted bail by Chief Magistrate F.N AMANZE in the sum of five hundred thousand naira.
