Amaechi spoke when he received some members of the ruling People’s Democratic Party PDP led by former Commissioner of Transport under Wike administration, Micheal West who defected to the All Progressives Congress in the state.
The Minister of Transportation said those who have fought him politically had always failed and will continue to fail through prayers which he said will again resume from next year ahead of 2023 political year.
Amaechi while stating that he made it possible for the refund of N78bn to Rivers State said his style of politics is devoid of tribal sentiment.
Amaechi while highlighting some of his achievement as Minister of Transportation, disclosed that the rail way project from Rivers State to Maiduguri will start by January, 2021.
Some of the Commissioners under Governor Nyesom Wike and stakeholders amongst others who defected from the PDP to the APC includes, John Bazia, Michael West, Ipalibo Geroge, Salvation Ezegwogwo, Chima Obinna and Lulu Barango-Tarah.
