The Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project has commenced a specialised mud logging training programme for 300 Ogoni youths.
Speaking during the orientation at Ken Saro-Wiwa Polytechnic, Bori, Project Coordinator, Professor Nenibarini Zabbey, urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the opportunity, noting that more than 17,000 people applied for the programme.
The six-month training combines classroom and practical sessions and is aimed at preparing participants for opportunities in the oil and gas sector ahead of the expected resumption of oil production in Ogoniland.
