House Committee on Air Force pledge to resuscitate equipments used by Nigerian Air Force in Port Harcourt.

This comes as part of the House resolve to strengthen the Armed Forces in their fight against insurgency and militancy.

The Chairman of the House Committee on Air Force, SAMPSON OKWU made the promise when he led other members on an oversight function to the ninety seven Special Operations Group, Nigerian Air Force in Port Harcourt.

OKWU said the Committee will ensure that more allocations will be made for the Nigerian Air Force in the 2017 Appropriation Act.

The Committee also commended the Chief of Air Staff for making the welfare of its officers a priority, adding that it was impressed with the level of infrastructure put in place for its officers.

OKWU said the Committee will not relent in its effort to ensure that the Nigerian Military lives up to its responsibility of maintaining security of the country.

Correspondent VICTOR EZEAMA reports that the House Committee on Air Force in the Federal House of Representatives also visited the Nigerian Air Force base in Yenegoa, Bayelsa state.
