Our correspondent, UCHENDU EJIOWHOR reports that the protest was in response to purported claims by the Managing Director of the multi-national company that host communities have been taken care of in terms of job opportunities for youth.
But the protesters complained that the company failed to comply with the employment of young people based on an agreement that was reached in 2014.
They threatened to shut down the operations of Agip if the company fails to meet their demands within one month.
The management of the Nigerian Agip Oil Company is yet to respond to the protest.
