High Court In Port Harcourt Upholds Laws suit that Stopped the Swearing In of Victoria Nyeche.

Justice ENEBELI held that as a Nigerian from Rivers state and a voter from PHALGA Constituency One, LIVINGSTONE WECHIE is eligible to challenge the alleged action of the elected lawmaker.

The court also declared that the Integrity Group which the originator of the forgery case represents is a non-governmental organization.

The Court further sustained the earlier order restraining the Rivers State House of Assembly ?from swearing-in VICTORIA NYECHE.

Justice ENEBELI also fixed 20th September to begin hearing of the substantive suit, in which LIVINGSTONE WECHIE accused VICTORIA NYECHE of forgery.

The accusation is based on NYECHE’s alleged use of the letter head of the Rivers State House of Assembly while she was yet to be sworn-in as a member.
