Hearing in the case involving the embattled director of Radio Biafra, NNAMDI KANU suffered a setback before the Magistrate Court in Wuse area of Abuja.
Our correspondent JAMES IGAH reports that lawyers involved in the case arrived at the court but were informed that the presiding magistrate was not on seat.KANU’s lawyer, VINCENT OBETTA, told newsmen outside the court that the case had been adjourned till today for ruling on the application by the Department of State Services to discontinue the matter at the magistrate court level.You will recall that at the last hearing of the case on 23rd of November, the prosecuting counsel had informed the court about additional information obtained by the DSS, allegedly linking the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra to terrorism and terrorism financing.Meanwhile; a group of pro-Biafra campaigners besieged the Wuse Magistrate Court earlier today in anticipation of the NNAMDI KANU case, and calling for his release.
