Gunmen suspected to be Islamist militants have attacked a five star hotel in the West African city of Bamako in Mali. The target of the siege is the Radisson Blu hotel, which is mostly visited by foreign diplomats, professionals and business people. Reports say about one hundred and seventy people, including some one hundred and forty guests, are being held hostage in the hotel. At least three people have been confirmed killed in the siege, including two Malians and a French national.
