An indigene of the area who confirmed the incident to Today FM, said the occupants of a jeep were on their way to Port Harcourt when they were shot at, leading to the damaging of the vehicle.
Our source said he heard sporadic shooting in the early hours of yesterday, only to wake up to see an empty but badly damaged jeep covered in bullet holes.
The source said a little investigation revealed some persons had been moved into a nearby forest by the hoodlums terrorizing that axis of the East West road.
A senior police officer attached to the Rumuji Police Division told Today FM that investigations are ongoing to unravel the true situation.
