A pro-democracy group has alleged that soldiers detained over an alleged coup plot are battling serious health challenges while in custody. The group appealed to the Federal Government to grant the detainees access to adequate medical care and ensure their rights are protected.
The group further urged authorities to either charge the affected officers to court or review their detention in line with the rule of law. It warned that prolonged detention without transparent legal process could undermine public confidence in democratic institutions.
