Govt advised to ensure the input of surveyors in structural development

The Rivers State Chairman of Nigeria Institution of Surveyors, Baridi Leebara who spoke to our correspondent Paul Emeka Chimodo during their road show in Port Harcourt, insisted that no meaningful physical infrastructure development can be achieved without the input of a surveyor.

Leebara while explaining the role of surveyors in national security, especially at crime scene locations and tracking down criminals, maintained that any project without proper survey data will suffer a lot of challenges including flooding.

On his part, Andy Nwikinane, who is the State Chairman of Association of Private Practices Surveyors of Nigeria, highlighted roles of surveyors in national development and how they help in resolving issues of boundary dispute.
