Governor Fubara Approves Immediate Commencement of Staff Promotions at The Rivers State University Teaching Hospital

The announcement was made during a crucial meeting with the newly inaugurated RSUTH Board of Management on March 4, 2024.

Governor Fubara charged the board to swiftly initiate the promotion exercise for the hospital’s workforce.

The Chief Medical Director of RSUTH, Professor Chizindu Alikor said this action reinforces Governor Fubara’s commitment to prioritizing the well-being of healthcare workers and strengthening the healthcare infrastructure in the state, and is expected to boost the morale of RSUTH staff, motivating them to continue providing exceptional healthcare services to Rivers State residents.

Professor Alikor expressed gratitude for the Governor’s decisive action, acknowledging the approval for staff promotions as a testament to the Governor’s dedication to enhancing the welfare of healthcare professionals.

He also appreciated the Commissioner for Health Rivers State, Doctor Adaeze Oreh, for exemplary leadership and continuous support in enabling RSUTH to provide quality healthcare services.

In the same vein, Governor Siminalayi Fubara has officially approved the recruitment of qualified and competent Rivers Youths, with a particular focus on medical officers, into the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital (RSUTH).

The Chief Medical Director of RSUTH, Professor Chizindu Alikor, who revealed this in a statement, expressing profound gratitude to Governor Fubara for his steadfast support.

Professor Alikor commended the Governor for prioritizing the healthcare sector’s needs and taking proactive measures to address staffing requirements at RSUTH.
