Governor WIKE alleged that agents of the Federal Government were unhappy that Rivers State, which is under the control of an opposition party, was leading in the area of projects execution.
The Governor made the remarks at the Government House in Port Harcourt when he granted audience to the Norwegian Ambassador to Nigeria.
He urged the Norwegian Government to partner with Rivers State to set up a ship building company, with a promise that any company willing to invest in the area would be given tax relief.
WIKE said such establishment would also help to impact skills of Rivers youths, create employment opportunities and enhance the economy of the State.
Governor WIKE also said the state government was willing to provide the enabling environment for investors in commercial agriculture, both in fishing and crop production.
A statement released by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Electronic Media quoted the Norwegian Ambassador promising that his home government would support human capital development and technology transfer in its relationship with Rivers State.
