Governor WIKE was represented by the Commissioner for Transport, AKIE DAGOGO FUBARA, who used the occasion of his visit to Bonny Island to pledge the commitment of the present administration to safe marine transportation all year round.
He said the state government has already acquired gunboats and other security gadgets that would be rightly deployed to ensure safe travels on the waterways.
The Commissioner also informed the people that the Transport Ministry was investigating to ascertain the immediate and remote causes of the accident in a bid to adopt measured to avert a recurrence.
