Gov Wike aid; Ufortunate, ill-informed and occasioned by guilty conscience and self-indictment -APC.

The Rivers APC, according to a statement released by its Publicity Secretary, CHRIS FINEBONE, said former governor and Minister of Transport, ROTIMI AMAECHI and the 2015 governorship candidate, DAKUKU PETERSIDE have no link with the allegations as recently published by an online news site.

He said the views expressed in a statement by Governor WIKE’s media assistant was unfortunate, ill-informed and occasioned by guilty conscience and self-indictment.

FINEBONE said records abound to prove that both AMAECHI and PETERSIDE have at some points also come under intense scrutiny by SaharaReporters, which purportedly made the allegations.

He also dismissed claim by the Rivers State Government that AMAECHI was indicted by a judicial commission of inquiry over three trillion naira state funds.

The APC spokesman wandered why the government has been reluctant to take the matter to court if it had sufficient grounds to accuse the former governor.

He also reechoed AMAECHI’s avowed stand not to make any comment on his relationship with his predecessor in office, Doctor PETER ODILI as his erstwhile political mentor.
