Gov Ikpeazu says wearing facemask is compulsory in Abia State

Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu made the announcement in a statement circulated in the media.

 

Governor Ikpeazu also directed all occupiers of premises where members of the public visit for commercial, ceremonial, religious, charity, and or educational purposes shall provide hand sanitizers or running water with soap to enable visitors to these places sanitize and or wash their hands before entering the premises.

 

The Governor made the announcement in exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Abia state Infectious Diseases Emergency Prevention Regulation 2020 which comes two weeks after a restriction order was declares in the state to stop the spread of corona virus.
