Following the crisis between Governor Siminalayi Fubara and some members of the State Assembly, there were reports that the government has sacked the CJ and the LG chairmen.
The state Commissioner for Information and Communication, Joe Johnson in a statement, clarified that the governor has not given such a directive.
The commissioner further appealed to Rivers people and the general public to ignore the reports.
Johnson assured that the public will be properly informed of persons who may be dismissed at the appropriate time.
He reiterated the governor’s will to work according to the laid down rules and with the fear of God.
