Governor Fubara made the promise today while addressing workers under the Nigeria Labor Congress, Rivers State chapter during its protest.
The Governor who was represented by the Head of Service in the state, George Nweke said the state government has provided free buses among other palliatives to cushion the economic challenges faced by the people
He also noted that the current administration has so far prioritized the welfare of workers in the state.
On his part, the state Chairman of NLC, Alex Agwanwor in his address at the entrance gate to the government house Port Harcourt, read the demands of the NLC which includes declaration of state of emergency in energy sector, functionality of the country’s refineries, and more.
