Gambia: Jammeh’s Information Minister resigns.

Reports say BOJANG resigned in protest against President JAMMEH’s refusal to accept defeat in last month’s presidential election.

Confirming his decision in a statement cited by Reuters news agency, BOJANG said efforts to contest the results were an attempt to subvert the express will of the Gambian people.

In the meantime; the Supreme Court of the Gambia, which is largely made up of judges from Nigeria and Senegal, was scheduled to begin hearing of President JAMMEH’s election challenge.

But there are doubts about the court sitting today because most of the judges had yet to arrive in the country as at yesterday.
