The latest incidents involved four persons, including one BORIS NEENWI from Yeghe community in Gokana Local Government Area.
Our correspondent gathered that NEENWI and three others, including a lady, were shot dead by unknown gunmen around Nonwa in Tai Local Government Area.
It was gathered that NEENWI, who was a member of the All Progressive Congress, and the other victims were waiting by the roadside for a vehicle to return to Port Harcourt last night when they came under attack.
Before his death, NEENWI had served as Councilor for Yeghe community and had recently completed a law program at the University of Maiduguri.
A senior police officer who confirmed the killing to our correspondent said the remains of the victims have been deposited at a mortuary for investigations.
