The suspects, who are thought to be members of a new militant group known as Karowei, were arrested by villagers at Enekorogha in Burutu Local Government Area before being handed over to the police.
The Enekorogha town community chairman, MICHAEL OGOBIRI, told reporters that the villagers were searching the dense creeks and jungle to try to find the victims.
The four Britians were involved in Christian missionary activities providing free medical services in the rural town before they were kidnapped last Friday.
