Today FM’s Uchendu Ejiowhor who was in the area, reports that residents of Aka road and Trans-Kalabari axis were the worst hit, as their properties were damaged by the flood.
Some of the victims including Eddy Markson, who spoke to Today FM, blamed the company that constructed the Aka road, for the poor drainage in the area
The situation was also recorded along Azikiwe Road near Port Harcourt shopping mall, through Government house, leading to judiciary complex as well of Amaechi Drive in Obio-Akpor and Odili road in Port Harcourt City Local Government Area.
In some the areas, residents were seen packing their properties while vehicles were trapped down inside the heavy flooded environment.
The rain also caused a gridlock in Sars road in Rukpokwu and Rumuaholu axis of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.
