Our correspondent UCHENDU EJIOWHOR visited the area and reports that residents were seen harvesting premature cassava which has been damaged by the overflow of water.
There were also several buildings that were seen submerged in water due to the downpour that started last Friday.
The respondents said they have continued to suffer the impact of flood for years due to a blockage channel allegedly caused by an oil platform in the area.
Also speaking; a traditional ruler in the area, Chief FELIX AKUDINAWA threatened to lead a protest against the oil multinational.
Our correspondent also visited the weekly market at Aggah community and discovered that the prices of basic foodstuff, such as garri, have dropped because of excessive supply due to the forced harvesting caused by the flooding.
