Flood: IDPs decry poor conditions in camps

A midwife at  camp in Ogbogu Community Secondary school in Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State  Happiness Timothy revealed this to today fm Uchendu Ejiowhor.

Happiness Timothy while expressing concern that there has not been enough drugs, mosquito nets and bed especially for the pregnant women, complained that the relief materials sent to the camp are handed over to those claiming to be organizers of the camp.

Some other flood victims who spoke when Today FM correspondent visited the camp, suggested that relief materials be shared by donors themselves, rather than allow those they described as greedy individuals to divert the items.

They also complained of criminal activities inside the camp which they said has been a source of worry.

Today FM reports that school, church, social and economic activities have remained suspended due to the flood.
