Fire Hazard renders 43 families homeless in Obio Okpor of Rivers State

Our correspondent who visited the scene of the fire incident reports that a church building located within the batcher estate was also damaged by the fire.

The fire is said to have begun from a cooking gas after a man left a pot of noodles on the gas cooker which dried off and later exploded.

Some of the victims of the fire who spoke to our correspondent UCHENDU EJIOWHOR shared experience while calling for government intervention.

Deacon EBERE IHUME said it will take the intervention of God and man for the worship of God to take place in the burnt church building, calling on government to come to their assistance.
