At the meeting which was held at the ministry of Energy and Natural Resources in Port Harcourt the stakeholders resolved that the fifty naira charge on the use of Point of Sales Machine would be regarded as a merchant fee.
The commissioner for the ministry, Doctor PETER MEDEE who read the communiqué said they also resolved to write to the Central Bank of Nigeria to review the fifty naira charge on the use of POS.
On his part, the Chairman of the Licensed Petroleum Product Station Owners Association of Rivers state SUNNY NKPE said his members will adhere to the resolutions reached at the meeting.
