The approval was announced by the Chief of Staff to the President, ABBA KYARI during a meeting with stakeholders in the Petroleum Sector at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Finance, KEMI ADEOSUN; the Minister of State for Aviation, HADI SIRIKA; Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, KACHALLA MAIKANTI.
After the meeting; the National Secretary of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, ZARMA MUSTAPHA, told newsmen that the meeting had nothing to do with increase in petroleum pump prices.
MUSTAPHA disclosed that stakeholders would meet again today with financial authorities to kick-start process of the payment approved by the government.
