This was made known in a communiqué issued by the Technical Sub-Committee of the Federation Account Allocation Committee.
The statement also indicates that the gross statutory revenue received during the period stood at three hundred and twenty-four point nine billion naira, which is by seventy-six point two billion naira higher that the figure of the previous month of December, 2016.
A breakdown of the distributed net statutory revenue shows that the Federal Government received the biggest chunk of one hundred and thirty-three point one billion naira, which represents about fifty-two percent of the total.
The thirty-six states of the federation had sixty-seven point five billion naira shared among them, while the remaining fifty-two point zero-eight-three billion naira was shared across the local government councils in the country.
Additionally; the Oil Producing States shared twenty point six billion naira as thirteen percent derivation revenue.
The sum of seventy point five billion naira was also shared from the revenue accruing from the Value Added Tax, of which Federal Government received ten point five billion naira; the thirty-six states shared thirty-five point two billion naira, while the Local Government Councils had twenty-four point seven billion naira share among them.
