This is because the Joint Health Sector Union of Nigeria has declared a seven-day warning strike.
The strike was announced after a meeting between the leadership of JOHESU and Federal Government officials ended in a deadlock.
The Secretary of the Rivers State Council of JOHESU, CHRIS MBATA confirmed the development to our correspondent CHINEDU IWUNNA.
CHRIS MBATA said the warning strike only affects federal health institutions across the country.
MBATA said if the Federal Government fails to meet the union’s demands after seven days, JOHESU would be left with no option than to involve its members in state and local government health institutions.
