FG Assures Safe Rescue of Abducted Oyo Teachers, Students

The Federal Government has assured families of teachers, students and pupils abducted in Oyo State that efforts are underway to secure their safe rescue and return.

Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, Femi Gbajabiamila, gave the assurance during a visit to Ogbomosho, where he led a Federal Government delegation to meet with community leaders and families of the victims.

Gbajabiamila said President Bola Tinubu is deeply concerned about the abduction and remains committed to ensuring the safe return of those in captivity.

The victims were kidnapped from Community Grammar School, Baptist Nursery and Primary School, and L.A. Primary School in Oyo State on May 15, 2026.

He assured the affected families that security agencies are working diligently to secure the release of the victims and restore normalcy to the affected communities.

The delegation also met with community stakeholders as part of efforts to provide support and reassure residents of the Federal Government’s commitment to addressing insecurity in the area.
