This comes barely one week after the Federal Government received over four million doses of the Moderna vaccine from the United States.
In a statement signed by spokesperson to the Presidential Steering Committee on COVID-19, Willie Bassey, said the latest tranche will help the country’s efforts in battling the third wave of Corona virus infections adding that the inoculation will kick off at the Federal Medical Centre, Jabi: Abuja.
Recall that Nigeria had kicked off its COVID-19 vaccination program in April after receiving three point nine million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine from the COVAX initiative.
The Moderna vaccines were however approved by NAFDAC in July, and are expected to boost the country’s vaccination program.
