Kakiri, who recounted the terrifying incident to Todayfm’s Olawale Sanusi, stated that the herdsmen are now demanding the sum of ten million naira as ransom for his thirty three year old wife who was kidnapped last week Thursday.
He also recounted how the herdsmen ambushed and inflicted machete wounds on him before seizing his wife.
Meanwhile, the Queen Mother of Ebubu land, Emere’Owa Ada Ejire, has expressed deep concern over lack of security in rural areas, particularly during the farming and harvesting seasons.
She lamented that the absence of security presence has emboldened herdsmen to attack, rape women, and destroy farmlands with impunity.
