The intervention is coming in the form of a letter from the Office of the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice.
According to the letter signed by the Director Civil Litigation, DAYO AKPATA, the Justice Minister accused the Rivers State House of Assembly is violating relevant section of the 1999 Constitution for refusing inaugurate VICTORIA NYECHE who was elected to represent Port Harcourt Constituency One.
The Office of the Attorney General of the Federation said having investigated a petition on the matter and considered all the facts pertaining to the election of VICTORIA NYECHE, the Rivers State House of Assembly must obey the constitution and immediately swear in the elected APC lawmaker.
The letter of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice was addressed to the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly.
