Obi who made the call on his Twitter handle, said voter registration across the country especially in the South East had been impeded by bureaucratic bottlenecks.
INEC had earlier extended the deadline for online registration for new PVCs from May 31, 2022, to June 30, 2022.
The former Governor of Anambra state also called on INEC to facilitate a speedy registration of voters for them to be able to exercise their constitutional rights.
