A Niger Delta based environmental Activist, Nnimmo Bassey who gave the advice at a one day Workshop on Poetry as a tool for Advocacy in Port Harcourt called on the people to see poetry as a cultural tool in restoring polluted environment.
Bassey who is the Director of Health of Mother Earth Foundation urged the people to begin to demand that multinationals operating in the area take full responsibility for human rights abuses.
Some of the participants at the Workshop including students commended the organizers for putting together the program.
