Akpabio, who spoke yesterday at a thanksgiving reception held at Wike’s private residence in his hometown, Rumueprikom in the Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of the the state, also said he may be a contender against Wike in the future, hence his restraint on lavishing him with so much praises.
Reacting to Wike’s appreciation to his contribution when he ran for Governor of Rivers State in 2015, Akpabio clarified that the money came from his person savings from the telecommunication, not from the coffers of Akwa-Ibom state government.
