One hundred and twenty seven vehicles, including pick-up vans, ambulances, trucks, crowd-control-barrier vehicles among others were commissioned by the president.
Similarly, a large catchment of arms, ammunition, crowd control agents such as teargas, Tasers, stone guns, pepper sprays, bulletproof vests and other personal protective equipment procured by the police was also commissioned.
President Buhari while commissioning the assets declared that the eyes of the nation and global community are on the Nigeria Police Force and all law enforcement agencies.
The President further stated that he has significantly accomplished plans to reposition the police and expects that the incoming administration will sustain his initiative.
