Rivers State Governor, NYESOM WIKE had set up a committee to liaise with members of the Elechi Amadi Family at Aluu in Ikwerre Local Government Area and organise a state burial for the deceased.
However; after waiting for three weeks, the Chairman of the State Burial Committee, FRANK OWHOR said the bereaved family is yet to respond.
FRANK OWHOR is, however, hopeful that a date would be announced at the next meeting between members of the committee and the Elechi Amadi Family.
Speaking in an interview with our correspondent, OWHOR said there has been a smooth discussion between the family and the committee on the burial arrangement.
The Head of the Elechi Amadi family, Elder VALENTINE AMADI also told our correspondent that they were yet to agree on a suitable date.
Elder AMADI assured that a date would be made known to the public soon, but he did not give details about why the issue was being delayed.
