The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, GARBA SHEHU, confirmed the audio recording of the male voice in Hausa language to be that of President BUHARI.
SHEHU said President BUHARI sent a message of greetings to Nigerian Muslims and Christians on the occasion of the Eid-el-Fitr, urging all citizens to resolve to live in peace and avoid making reckless statements.
The President was further quoted as saying he was immensely grateful to God for his mercy in the successful completion of another Ramadan fast.
He greeted all Nigerian Muslims and their Christian brothers on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, as he prayed for all to exemplify the lessons of Ramadan, which encompassing piety, self-denial, prayers and generosity to the poor and needy to be.
The voice recording is the first time for President BUHARI to be heard in public in forty-eight days since he traveled out of Abuja on an indefinite medical vacation.
