Doctor FORTUNATE FIBERESIMA was the Chief Executive Officer of the State House Medical Centre in Abuja.
Doctor FIBERESIMA is accused of abuse of his position as the Chief Physician to the President in 2012 when he approved the award of contracts to a company where he has interests.
The accused is to be arraigned on 25th March before Justice PETER AFFEN of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory sitting in Maitama, after a failed arraignment yesterday.
He is facing a six-count charge of money laundering and abuse of office, which Justice AFEN noted are under the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission Act and not the EFCC Act.
Justice AFEN rejected an attempt by the EFCC prosecution counsel to explain that the agency had the mandate to enforce all other law or regulations relating to economic and financial crimes.
