Reports from the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja indicate that EFCC’s lawyer, OFEM UKET made frantic moves to stop Justice GABRIEL KOLAWOLE from admitting Colonel NICHOLAS ASHINZE to bail.
The security consultant is facing charges of corruption brought against him by the Federal Government, alongside retired Colonel SAMBO DASUKI.
Also facing related charges are retired military intelligence officer SAGIR MOHAMMED, a legal practitioner EDIDIONG IDIONG and an Austrian Security Consultant, WOLFGANG REINL.
They were arraigned on a thirteen-count charge of corruption and money laundering to the tune of one point five billion naira, which the defendants have denied.
