According to a statement circulated to media houses, the suspects were arrested between 25th and 26th March in Abuja and Benue State.
The US Embassy in Abuja has responded with a statement in which it expressed appreciation of the work of Nigerian security forces in fighting terrorism and keeping the citizens and residents safe.
The statement also emphasized that Nigeria and the US continue to have a strong partnership in countering violent extremism, but it did not make specific reference to any foiled Boko Haram.
