This followed a final forfeiture order granted by a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos in connection with the foreign currency linked to the former Petroleum Minister, which is an equivalent of around thirty-four billion naira.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission dragged DIEZANI ALLISON-MADUEKE to court over the monies allegedly looted from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation.
In his judgment; Justice MUSLIM HASSAN, said the EFCC successfully proved that the monies were proceeds from an illegal activity in breach of Section 17 of the Advanced Fee Fraud and Other Related Offence Act.
