This phase of the conference is where TUC delegates will elect members of a new state executive to replace the outgoing executive under the leadership of CHIKA ONUEGBU.
Our correspondent CHINEDU IWUNNA reports that it appears candidates for all the executive positions are running unopposed.
Meanwhile; the outgoing TUC Chairman, CHIKA ONUEGBU who is leaving after completing two terms, recounted that he had a challenging time because of the political turbulence that enveloped Rivers State in recent years.
However, ONUEGBU boosted that in spite the political instability in Rivers State over the years, his leadership was able to maintain unity within the TUC.
The Rivers State Governor was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, KENNETH KOBANI, who used the opportunity to appeal to appeal to workers to support the government in the fight against insecurity.
