Degema Council Urges Calm After Body Found Along Community Boundary

The Degema Local Government Council has urged residents of Obuama in Harry’s Town to remain peaceful following the discovery of the lifeless body of a community member along the river boundary with Emohua Local Government Area.

Chairman of the council, Michael John Williams, made the appeal during a fact-finding town hall meeting with the Obuama Council of Chiefs.

Williams assured the community that security agencies had commenced investigations to identify and arrest those responsible for the killing. He also sympathized with the bereaved family and pledged the council’s support towards the victim’s funeral.

The victim’s father, Tariah Benibo, said his late son, Jadiepreye Benibo, is survived by his wife and children.
